Wow! Victorian Aesthetic Movement Stourbridge Cased Glass Vase Applied Cherries
VICTORIAN AESTHETIC MOVEMENT CASED GLASS VASE. This is truly a beautiful piece of glass. This vase is made with cased glass, the outer layer is a greenish cast custard over a medium opaque pink. The fat part has applied clear glass leaves and cherries, 2 cherries, 3 leaves and one stem.
The top os the vase is pulled up in a sharp point then folded back so that the point meets the custard glass. The points are attached to the outside so it is very sturdy. The vase measures 5" high, 3" wide across the top points, 4" wide across the fruit and the foot is just over 2" in diameter. It has a ground and polished pontil which is a sign of a great maker.
