Vintage Kathleen Orme / Joseph Morel Cameo Art Glass Floral Pink Vase Signed

This is an Original Vitage Kathleen Orme Cameo Glass Pink & White Floral 9 1/4 Tall Vase. This Vase original made for / with Zellique Studio and is also signed by Joseph Morel on the bottom. This Vase is in perfect condition with no cracks, chips or problems. The Vase is 9 1/4" tall, and about 4 1/2" in diameter at the widest point. The top opening is 1 1/2" in diameter and the base is about 2 1/2" in diameter. The Vase weighs 1 LB. The Vase is signed "Kathleen Orme" in Cameo Glass on the side. The Bottom has an etched serial number of "KO 209-283". The Bottom is also signed "Zellique Studio Joseph Morel 11 -1982".

Kathleen Orme began doing Cameo Glass around 1980 in her home studio in Chico, CA. Kathleen's designs begin when a hand-blown vessel is cased in one to four layers of glass.

She carves the design by gradually guiding precisely controlled jets of fine sand to cut away the layers. The results are a meticulously cut scene in relief. Each Vase is one of a kind. Each is designed, executed, signed, and registered by the artist. There is no other vase like yours. Through mastery of extraordinarily delicate detail, Kathleen Orme's creations hold their place among the world's cameo glass treasures. Zellique Art Glass is well known internationally for their uniquely beautiful and intricately detailed art glass creations. The famed glass studio was founded by master glassblower Joseph Morel in 1980.

The Zellique Art Glass Studio has earned the respect and admiration of art glass collectors and their works are on display in museums and collections around the world.
