Victorian White MOP Satin Art Glass JIP Vase-CRE Rim-English Scare Color

  

I suspect it most likely is English crested by one of the renowned firms operating during the late Victorian era. This beautifully executed Jack in the pulpit vase in pure white glass has a tight candy ribbon edge rim circling the top opening. A neatly ground pontil can be viewed on the bottom. The vase stands 13 1/4" at the tallest point and measures 5 1/4" across the top, 4 1/8 diameter of the base.

After cleaning an inspection I find no post factory damage or repairs. I will mention for accuracy a small original dimple on one of the ruffles, seen in one of the pictures. I also will note at the very bottom of the interior a dark area can be seen possibly due to use but does not detract from the overall appearance of this item, ie. Cannot be viewed from the outside. An elegant example in a somewhat scarce color of mother of pearl glass.
