Victorian Harrach Art Nouveau Opaline Vaseline Glass vase, Gild-Enamel
Victorian Harrach Art Nouveau Opaline Vaseline Glass vase, Gild-Enamel. Offered for sale is an outstanding example of the artistic enameled glass that was produced in the Bohemian glass houses during the late 18th to 19th centuries. The Harrach Glass House, nestled in the remote mountains of Northern Bohemia, was started in 1712 by Count Harrach.
Their production was so prolific that they also provided blanks for other glass houses and employed a large number of designers and decorators. Many pieces attributed to other makers have eventually proven to be Harrach productions, and identification still remains a challenge.

I sell antique and vintage collectible stuff - unique items that have history, and may show signs of this - it's part of their charm. I try to describe any obvious faults as truthfully as I can. However, as most of my items are 100 years old, they will often bear the traces of a previous life.
