Victorian Franz Welz Art Glass Handled Basket Opaque Yellow Ruby Lined
Here's a great example of Franz Welz. Made in the early 20th century ca. This beautiful Handled Basket is made of an Opaque Yellow exterior and lined in Ruby glass. The outside edge is a very fine Ribbon crimp with applied clear crystal. It measures 9 3/4" from corner to corner, and is 6 1/4" tall. It's in perfect condition with no chips or cracks and no stains or mineral deposit inside. Any unusual white or dark spots shown in the photos are from camera glare. This will make a great accessory to any Victorian home.
