Victorian Art Nouveau Peking Green Art Glass & Rhinestone Sash Belt Pin Brooch
The stone is Czech Art Glass... Measures approx 3" wide and 2 1/8" long.. It is made of goldtone metal--I believe it is brass based on its heavier weight.. The cabachon stone in the center is a creamy green color... This lovely antique Victorian sash brooch pin dates from the late 1800s or early 1900s... It has a unique combination of green glass cabachon stones and clear rhinestones which combine for a beautiful design... The goldtone metal (which I believe is brass) features intricate designs--be sure to check out the close-up photos... This brooch is domed--not flat. I tried to show that in a side view in one of the photos.. This was the type of brooch that was used to secure a sash at a ladies hip during the late 1880/1915 when wearing a sash over the shoulder and across the bosom (imitating Queen Victoria) or around the waist was popular..
In lovely unmarked preloved condition.... Photos in natural and flash light.. Please see all my photos as they are part of my description.. We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.
