Victorian Art Glass Vaseline & Pink Applied Leaves Fairy Lamp Floriform
This is a stunning victorian era fairy lamp. The base is yellow vaseline glass with seven upturned tooled petals or leaves and an integral candle cup. The bottom has a ground, unpolished pontil. The candle cover is pink glass cased inside with white glass and covered with three rows of matching tooled applied vaseline leaves. What is interesting is that the top row of leaves arc outward, pictures I have seen of similar pieces have all curved inward. The vaseline glass glows under black light. Size is less than 3" high and about 3-1/2" at the widest. The area that holds a candle is 1-7/16 in diameter. There is some roughness on the bottom of the cover where it was cut to size by the glass blower, this is typical on hand blown lamp shade bases. There are no chips on any of the petals. There are some imperfections in the glass, bubbles and tiny black spots.
