Victorian Art Glass Opaque Pink Overshot Handled Basket
Here's a great example of Victorian Overshot art glass. Made in the early 20th century ca. This beautiful Opaque Pink Handled Basket is in very good condition. It is a Melon Optic shape. There are a couple issues with this one.
The outside edge is a very tightly crimped edge. One of the tiny folds has a tiny split in it. Another fold has a tiny nip on the edge. Other than that, it's in excellent condition. It has an applied clear colorless handle. The outside of the basket is covered with Overshot Glass. The pontil is a rough grind. It's 7 1/2"Long x 5 1/2"Wide x 7 1/2Tall. The applied clear colorless handle is a reeded looped Thorn handle. This is a very pretty basket. Any other unusual white or dark spots shown in the photos are from camera glare. This will make a great accessory to any Victorian home.
