This a very pretty early art glass Ladies Spittoon or Posy Vase. The pattern is a Rib Optic.

And it is Green Vaseline Opalescent in color. This vase is 4" tall and 5" in diameter.

The pontil is pushed up, snapped off, and rough. This art glass piece is in perfect condition with no chips or cracks and no stains or mineral deposit. As with all art glass of this type, there may be embedded bubbles in the glass. Any unusual white or dark spots shown in the photos are from camera glare.
