Victorian Antique Art Glass Stevens and Williams Silver Mica Vase Metal Stand
This is a beautifull and rare example of an early Stourbridgegle Glass vase. This Coral design made with mica was a pattern developed by John Northwood II while he worked at Stevens & Williams. These pieces were made c. This vase is 6 tall. The vibrant colors with the Silver Mica arranged to look like coral make this piece very attractive. White Opal lined with cased light Ruby glass to make it appear Pink in color. Shown in one photo is a bit of carbon dirt embedded in the underside of a top flared edge. It is mentioned for accuracy and does not detract.
What's rare about this piece is it is set with mortar inside it's original metal stand. These stands are almost never found today as they were removed and melted down and used for the war effort. Any unusual white or dark spots shown in the photos are from camera glare.
