TS Victorian Threaded Vaseline Candy Dish in Silver Plate Stand
Stunning Victorian Threaded Vaseline Candy Dish in Silver Plated Stand! We will be listing many treasures that are extremely rare over the upcoming weeks from our own collection. This is a Fabulous Victorian era candy dish complete with its silver plated stand. The bowl is superb and quite rare because of its threading around the sides. We believe this was produced by Stevens and Williams because they introduced threading glass in England.
The bowl is a beautiful blue fading to clear, The opening is wavy and externally lined with pincered trail fan shaped vaseline. There is a second row lower that holds the bowl securely in the frame. The bowl has a polished pontil. The stand is marked EPNS-electro plated nickel silver. It is adorned around its scalloped edge with a floral pattern.
