TS Victorian Mt. Washington Coralene Uranium Vaseline Footed Satin Finish Vase
Washington Coralene Uranium Vaseline Footed Satin Finished Vase! We will be listing many treasures that are extremely rare over the upcoming weeks from our own collection. This is a highly sought after design or style of glass that was produced in the 1880's. It is known as Coralene. It was first patented in Germany in 1883. Washington began producing it around 1886.
After an object such as a vase was produced the design is painted on with a sticky substance. The glass beads are then applied and baked on with high heat. This vase has a coral pattern.
Its color fades like a peach blow effect from blue to white. It rests on 3 applied amber feet. The op opening is most unusual since it was cut and folded both up and down. The base has a ground pontil mark. The edges of the top opening are enameled in gold. The golden glass beads are eye catching and in excellent condition. Add some wonderful colors to your collection with this magnificent piece. This is for the best of collections! Size is 3 1/2" wide and 9" tall. There is no damage I can find.
