Rare Salviati Barovier Fratelli Toso Pink Silver Venetian Dragon Serpent Glass

  

This Venetian glass dragon vase is in perfect display condition but there is white clouding inside the dragons body. On extremely close examination I believe the top stem above the dragons head has been glued. There is some slight discolouration where the glue repair seems to be. Two small spikes on top of the dragons head are sharp & broken off. This is one of the hardest faults I've ever had to describe.

I actually had this piece in my collection for several years before I even noticed! The top bowl is faultless, there is not even a fragile leaf edge from the underside missing & no glue repairs there at all. The dragons ears & tongue are without damage but there is a small amount of glue residue on the ears & on the end of the dragons nose.

The base is perfect too as is the rest of the dragon. Please see the close up pictures as they are of the glue/fault I've explained. This is mentioned for full. Accuracy & does not detract from the beauty of this piece.
