Rare Josephinenhutte Cypern Series Cobalt Iridescent Enameled Art Glass Vase Ca. Measures approximately 5 3/4" tall x 6 1/2" across the widest part. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. "Cypern" series glass is documented in "Josephine Glassworks, Art Nouveau - Art Deco - Modern 1900 - 1950" by Stefania Zelasko. States that these iridescent glass vases were made in various colors, with the cobalt blue versions being hard to find and these are called "Bronze-Cypern". The enamel ones painted in this style were designed and executed by Professor Max Rade, who also did a large body of work for Fritz Heckert, according to Zelasko.
