Pink satin glass brides bowl gilded floral white cased antique art glass
Likely Bavarian art glass from late 19th century. Shaded from blush pink to fuchsia.
The floral gold raised from the surface for a wonderful 3-dimensional effect. It is blown glass cased in snow white. Marked "R500--" over the pontil which is likely the decorator's mark. The foot is white and glows a bit yellow under black light as common for glass of the late 19th century. Could be mounted on a silver stand or simply used as a center bowl or fruit bowl. It is heavy and obviously quite durable. 9.5 inches wide, 4 inches high. The bottom (in case you want to mount it) is just more than 4 3/4 inches. It has been cared for. The gold around the top rim is worn off. Ample table wear on the foot attests for its age.
