Museum quality Emile Galle decanter set with dahlia design Chrysanthemum Glass
Authentic Museum quality Emile Galle decanter set with dahlia design Chrysanthemum Glass. This is an early Emile Gallé decanter and glass set with cabochon decorated with dahlia chrysanthemums. This is a work from around 1880 by Galle, which is often introduced in various exhibitions and books. It is a very gorgeous and majestic dahlia flower, which is painted with engraving, gilding, and oxidized corrosion, even to the veins of the leaves, and further decorated with a cabochon (jewel-like colored glass) in the center of the flower.
In addition, the center of both the decanter and the glass, between the body and the legs, is fused with different colored glass in pinkish tones using an appliqué technique, and the glass legs are made of glass containing uranium (Photo 9.10). This piece has a unique presence and is a gem of overwhelming value, produced at the First Studio during Galle's lifetime, with a style that is clearly different from the later Second and Third Studio periods. The decanter is signed E. Galle Nancy in gold on the decanter and on the lower part of the glass foot. We guarantee the authenticity of the product.
