Moser Loetz 12 Jeweled Beaded Gilt Enamel Cased Glass Vase Baldwin Bk Plate 150

  

Superb pink Bohemian cased glass vase exquisitely enameled with platinum and gold leaves, acorns, ornaments and a medallion, then embellished with beads of different sizes and shapes. The center medallion on the front of the vase is similar to the medallion on a vase shown on plate #150 in the Gary Baldwin book: Moser Artistic Glass - Edition Two. It is also similar to a vase shown on the Loetz web site, photo 34.02, in the article on Early Loetz Production of Art Glass. So, it is possible this is a Loetz vase, or a Loetz blank decorated by Moser. An exquisite addition to any Art Glass, Moser Glass, Loetz Glass, or Bohemian Glass collection. NOTE: the pink color is strong and even - the variation in color seen in the photographs is due to the lighting. Size: top 3 7/8 diameter; appx. 5 1/2" depth; 12 1/4" high.
