Moser Glass Massive Cobalt Blue Amphora Vase Applied High Relief Flowers Gilt
Magnificent, massive, cobalt blue glass amphora vase decorated with hundreds of tiny applied high relief flowers, hand painted polychrome enamel leaves, and gold / gilt Rococo scrolls. The bottom of the vase has a ground and polished pontil. The vase is signed in white paint B489 and there are gilt numbers on the bottom which are not legible. There is also a partial Pauly & C Venezia label on the bottom. This very fine vase may have been decorated by Moser Glass or it may be by Harrach, or?? An incredible addition to any Art Glass or Bohemian Glass collection. Note; White spots and red areas on the vase are due to lighting and reflection of surrounding items. Size: 9" across including handles; 8 3/8" high to top of handles. Condition: glass excellent; a separation in between flowers on one bunch of flowers; 3 chipped flowers out of hundreds; wear to gold on handles.
