Legras Art Deco Lapis Lazuli Blue Glass Clichy Genie Bottle Decanter France
Legras & Cie crystal factory, Clichy. Beautiful pyramidal decanter/vase on pedestal in blown glass with spherical bodies in tiers, worked in the purest Art Deco style of the end of the 19th century, with a slightly pearly colorless background, dotted with delightful inclusions in the colors "Lapis-lazuli".
Remarkable execution work of the blower who knew how to give a magnificent geometric and captivating shape to the vase. Very beautiful work from the end of the 19th century by this famous master glassmaker. This type of glassware called "Clichy" was produced by the Legras & Cie establishments in Pantin and St-Denis in 1889.
In great condition for its great age, with pretty shades of intense blues and matching ground stopper. There is a dark glass inclusion, see photo. Nice trace of the pontil of the blower's cane cut with pliers under the base, a sign of an old craftsmanship of high quality. Stands 10" tall without stopper, 13" with.
