IRIDESCENT GLASS ART NOUVEAU VASE GOLDEN & PURPLE 13.5cm TALL ca1900 EXCEL COND
Wonderful small Art Nouveau /Arts and Crafts Movement / Bohemian / Austrian / Loetz glass vase. What that sentence means is that I couldn't nail down exactly where this beautiful and simple at the same time vase was made and by whom. It features an iridescent golden allover colour with four leaf-like additions of mirror-like glossy purplish glass. It's 13.5cm tall and 5.5cm in diameter and weighs 148 grams. I'm guessing that a date for this vase falls right between the Art Nouveau style and the incoming Arts and Crafts Movement aesthetic. Somewhere from 1895 to 1910. Condition is excellent, No chips, No cracks, No scratches and No flea bites. A beautiful and charming vase from a bygone era.
