This Victorian art glass basket is blown of cased glass with a air trapped decor, embossed casing and applied handle. The interior of the basket is opal white. The exterior has a pink air trapped decor mimicking a Honeycomb pattern.

There is also tiny air bubbles through out. The embossed casing on the exterior of the basket is of a fine diamond and swirling rib decor pattern. The rim is crimped and the base has a ground pontil.

The handle with pinched thorns is of crystal clear glass. This shape was produced in 1893, by Harrach. This particular shape came in a variety of colours and cased (Splatter) decors.
The last photo will reflect examples these decors. I've done research on this particular shape for years, and more information can be found on the internet and facebook.
Search for 1893 Harrach basket. The Harrach attribution comes from the Passau Glass Museum in Germany. This museum holds the largest Bohemian glass collection in the world.
There is a museum cabinet full of Harrach art glass that was marketed to America. This basket shape is on display in a blue opalescent decor. The basket shape was also discovered in a 1893 C.
This company was based in Chicago which is the same year the World's Colombian Exposition, also known as The Chicago World's Fair was held. There are records of Harrach attending the world's fair in Chicago and winning glass awards in 1893. This information can be found in the latest Harrach glass book. Any Bohemian glass collector who collects or researches this Honeycomb decor knows this decor has not been found in this basket shape and is a rarity to find.
The rim is 6 diameter. The base is 2-3/4 diameter.
