EGG shape ROSE BOWL Cased BLUE Satin Art Glass, HP PINK Flowers Victorian
This is a beautiful piece of Victorian Art Glass - a ROSE BOWL with an elongated'EGG' shape - done in cased, shaded BLUE Satin Glass - decorated with hand painted Pink flowers and Green leaves - lots of tiny pale green shadow leaves in the background - on Rust colored branches. Although the maker and country of origin is unknown, the quality is similar to items made by the Mount Washington glass company - and surely dates to the same period - late 19th century. Measurements : 5" tall, 4.5" wide. Condition : EXCELLENT - previously owned, used antique art glass Vase - NO chips, cracks or repairs - slightly rough recessed pontil scar - NO losses to the hand painted decor noted - LOVELY!
