Early Fenton Custard Glass Sailboats Compote (Rare) known as Peach Blow
Here's a rather hard to find early Fenton item that was discontinued in 1915. This is the 6 tall footed compote in the Sailboats pattern. This is their color-stained Custard Glass. Fenton originally called it Peach Blow in their early advertisements. It fluoresces beautifully under a black light. It's hard to say what it's value would be today, but one thing is for sure. It hasn't been any easier to find! This is only the second color-stained Sailboats compote I've seen in 25 years. This piece is shown exactly this way in a Fenton catalog dated 1915. This one is in perfect condition with no chips or cracks, and mineral deposits. It's only 98 years old so not quite an antique. It's a nice clean early Fenton Custard Glass collectible, and will make a great addition to any Victorian home.
