Decorated Mount Washington Burmese Art Glass Vase-Enameled Flowers-Victorian
A very striking example of Mount Washington Burmese art glass produced in the late 1800s. Many of the examples youll find are undecorated, however this one has beautiful clusters of tiny white five petal blooms intertwined with wispy sprigs and single green leaves.
The company produced this type glass in direct competition with Webb and Sons Co Burmese created in England at the same time in history. Because of the minerals contained within the glass to create this color, this item reacts under a black light as seen in one of the pictures. This wonderful vase stands 4 1/2 tall with the top opening measuring 2 across. Thorough examination reveals no damage or repairs with the enamel decoration intact. A smooth ground pontil can be viewed on the bottom where faint graphite markings can also be seen.
Basically a very clean and attractive example of early Victorian glass. Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description. Please check back to my listings often as I will be posting numerous fine examples of glass, pottery and porcelain in the near future.
