Cranberry Glass William McKinley 1893 Political Clarke's Fairy Lamp
Cranberry Glass William McKinley 1893 Political Clarke's Fairy Lamp. I've never seen a political Clarke's Fairy Lamp before, so this is quite an interesting piece. It features a lovely cranberry glass shade with gold leafing that says "Good Night Dear Mac Kinley 1893".
This seems to be referring to William McKinley with the British spelling of the last name. William McKinley would become the 25th president of the United States in 1897, until his assassination six months into his second term in 1901. He was the Governor of Ohio (18921896). Glass is in excellent condition without any chipping, cracks, repairs or other issues.
The Cranberry Glass shade sits on a Clarke Fairy Pyramid crystal candle cup. Quite an neat little piece of history.
