This is a gorgeous antique Crown Milano art glass MUSTARD POT in the CACTUS FLOWER pattern - beautifully decorated with hand painted enamel, outlined in GOLD - presented on a blush colored, satin glass background. It has its original silverplate mount - decorated with repousse flowers on the lid and an embossed pattern around the collar - marked'M. The Cactus Flower pattern can be seen in Mt. Washington Art Glass by Betty Sisk - see the Crown Milano section - the pattern is shown on several different shapes - pages: 102,113, 120, 124. The Reprint of the 1894 Pairpoint Manufacturing Company Catalogue also shows this piece in the Cactus Flower pattern on page 104 - MUSTARD POTS.
