Beautiful Antique Victorian Faux Art Glass Star Sapphire Sterling Silver Ring

  

BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE VICTORIAN FAUX ART GLASS STAR SAPPHIRE STERLING SILVER RING. This lovely old ring is bezel set with a long faux, art glass, blue star sapphire. The shanks of the band are done in an open scroll motif. Inside band is marked Sterling, no makers mark found. CONDITION - The ring is in fine, antique, pre-owned condition! Some normal age/use wear, face of stone has some surface wear and a tiny flat spot on one end, difficult to tell if it a chip or the glass was made that way, band is slightly mis-shapen - as with all of my estate items, I have not cleaned or polished it. SIZE - Stone with setting measures approximately 1" long, 3/8" wide, going to end of scroll shanks 5/8" wide, band tapers to 1/16" at back, inside diameter is approximately 15mm making it a size 4 to 4.25.
