I believe it is made of brass. It has intricate swags around the glass stone and then black and a yellowish/cream guilloche enamel. There are some chips in the enamel, one big one and some smaller, less noticeable ones. It looks like the glass may have chipped in the back (but it may have also been like that when they put the piece together, since it is only around the back edges, not visible from the front).
