Antique Victorian Glass Brides Basket Bowl Pink White Spatter Silver Flecks
Size: 9" x 9" x 4. This is a spectacular piece of glass, but I haven't been able to identify the maker. The background/base color is a mixture of pink and a yellow tinted clear. Spread throughout that are white blobs and silver flecks, and a crimped pattern around the edge.
The bottom has the pontil grounded down, and a chip on the edge of that. It doesn't have any other chips, but I found some other blemishes. There is a ring around the bottom edge which is typical for a bowl that has rubbed against tables and surfaces over decades of use.
The side of the bottom of the interior has an oval about 1" x 7/8" that is the result of an air bubble. I photographed it next to a penny for size comparision. I cleaned the bowl, but was unable to remove a filmy surface that covers the exterior of half of the bowl. If you zoom in the third photo, you should be able to see the difference. I was able to scratch some off with a fingernail, but regular dish soap and Goo Gone didn't help.
