Antique Victorian Bohemian Harrach Opal Hand Painted Enamel POPPY Art Glass Vase

  

This Victorian hand painted art glass vase has a slender cylinder shape with a flared rim in the most unique and uncommon opalescent taupe colour. Beautifully hand painted with vibrant polychrome enameling through out of Poppy flowers and other summertime blooms. As any garden would have it, there's a delightful brown butterfly in flight bringing this harmonious floral scene together. The vase is not marked. Snapped pontil of the low footed base. The glass colour has fire opal hues when held up to the light. Attributed to Harrach or another Bohemian glasshouse. The rim is 4-1/8 diameter. The base is 3-7/8 diameter.
