Antique Victorian Art Glass Vase Pair Decorated with Cupids & Cherubs Jean Tam. Antique English Bristol Art Glass Pair of Hand Blown Vases, decorated with Cupids & Cherubs by French Illustrator, Jean Tam. Both of the Vases measure about 6 1/4 tall and are in Excellent Condition with no chips or cracks. A teeny amount of paint loss.
There is significant shelf wear on the bottom rims, attesting to the age of the Vases. Any white spots are glare. Each Vase is decorated differently.
One is decorated with two Cupids on a Cloud surrounded by Flora & Fauna and highlighted with Gold Paint. There is a Quiver with Arrows in front of the Cupids.
The Second Vase is decorated with two Cherubs on a Cloud surrounded by Flora & Fauna, also highlighted with Gold Paint. One of the Cherubs is holding a Harp and the other is holding a Laurel Wreath. In front of the Cherubs are two Doves and Roses. Below the Roses, it is marked'TAM', which was the famous French Illustrator, Jean Tam. On both Vases, the Cherubs are Transfers with the rest of the Vases being Hand Painted.
The Vases both have rough pontils and are not marked on the bottom. Although no marks were found, the Vases are believed to be English Bristol Glass.
