Antique Silverplate Pickle Castor Stand Cranberry Painted Glass Jar Victorian
Offering a Victorian silver plate pickle castor with cranberry jar. Hand painted with enamel leaves and flowers made circa 1900. The glass jar is 4 3/8" high and 3 1/2" across the mouth. It is sturdy thick glass in a coin dot design. Nice cranberry color and clarity.
The jar is hand painted with enamel leaves (greens and peach), white stems and yellow and red flowers. The pickle jar stand is decorated in a garden gate design with a pierced flower and leaf cornice and complementary designs on the top of the base, lid and tongs.
The holder is 12 1/2" high and 4 1/2" across the base. There is the number 7754 engraved on the underside of the stand. The lid and tongs appear to be the originals.
