STUNNING, RARE Museum Quality Salviati Murano Venetian Italian Art Glass Swan Vase, 24 karat Gold Twists & Flakes, White Latticino Filigree, Handmade, Hand Blown, Circa 1890s-1900s, Italy! In EXCELLENT condition for age! We have carefully observed every aspect to this piece and find no cracks, chips, or repairs. Natural artist imperfections as a handmade, hand blown work of art glass. Sharp beak and feathers at neck by artist in making. Lines on coral feet by artist. Tiny bit of colored glass underside base in pontil. White spots flash from camera. So many stunning, intricate details to this Venetian glass work of art by a master glassblower. Clear glass with white Latticino filigree stripes/twists, gold twists and gold leaf. Swan in clear glass with 24 karat gold leaf and applied coral-colored glass beak and feet. Gold & white lattice striped foot. Last photo for reference only. Listing is for gold/white swan vase as listed & shown. In 1877 Salviati opened his own glassworks called Salviati Dott. Antonio where his most popular designs were with dragons, swans, and flowers. In the thirties, he worked with master glass artist Dino Martens. Early Salviati works can be found in the Victoria and Albert Museum and The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
