Antique Harrach Rubin Glass Vase Enameled A. Sacher Handpainted Quail Lovely
They are in some vegetation with a fence and a stream also in the image that goes around the entire vase. The enamel in an ivory color also is around the top rim of the vase.
Sacher, since it is signed. I believe this was made by the Czech/Bohemian factory Harrach during the Victorian era. I also believe that there is a Lobmeyr cypher beneath the enamelist's signature. Lobmeyr was a Bohemian glassmaker during the late 1800s and early 1900s. This vase measures about 7" tall, 2 3/4" in diameter at top rim and 5 in diameter at widest point.
This exquisite vase is in very good condition with no chips or cracks but there is a tiny nick (less than 1/16) on the base rim (see photo). There is one scratch near the back of the vase (see photo) that is about 5/8 long (see photo). Also, there is a very tiny area of paint wear (about 1/8 long--see photo) on the ivory colored enamel around the top rim. I see no scratches on the handpainted image. The iridescence is really lovely! The enamel painting is so well done and very high quality and the birds look so life-like--it is like a work of art. This is probably a one of a kind art glass painted vase--just beautiful! What a lovely and unique Sacher enameled and iridescent ruby red vase that may have been made by Harrach to add to your art glass collection! All of my items are packaged very carefully in a smoke-free environment. Any questions please let me know.
