Antique Glass Victorian German Wurttembergische Art Glass Bowl
This is a beautifull Victorian Art Glass Bowl set in a metal stand. Some refer to this as a Brides Bowl. Some call it a compote. The stand is Brass and Silver Plate mixed.
It's signed WMFM 2/0 on the bottom. This mark is the earliest known mark for this German Company. It dates from 1880 to 1918. At 131 years old, it's a true Antique. The Bowl measures 9" in diameter and 5" tall. It's cased with a firey White Opalescent glass on the bottom and on top is a beautiful light shade of Blue. The pattern is a Melon pattern. There is applied crystal to the outside edge.
It's in perfect condition with no chips or cracks. No mineral deposits or stains of any kind.
The metal base is lightly tarnished. Any unusual white spots shown in the photos are from camera glare. This will make a great accessory to any Victorian home.
