Antique Franz Welz Pink Vaseline Glass Vase 3 Swirled Ball Feet Fan Shape c1900

  

Here we have a very attractive and unusual antique pink vaseline glass posy vase dating from around 1880 and possibly produced by the British glassmakers, Stevens and Williams. The posy vase has been mould blown and has a swirled type design that reminds me of Baccarat's pinwheel pieces. The fan shaped vase is graduated in shading and the three large ball shaped feet are transluscent. An alternative name is Rubina. The vase stands approx 4 3/4 H and about the same wide. It is in very good conditon with a visible mould line and a small internal air bubble inside one of the feet - dating from manufacture.
