Antique Cut FLINT Glass CELERY VASE Acid Etched, Frosted c. 1850's

  

This is a lovely antique Flint Glass CELERY VASE - standing just under 8 tall - a perfect size for flowers too. It is a heavy piece of Victorian era art glass - hand blown with a recessed, polished pontil - decorated with acid etched ferns, ribbons and swags, outlined for a Gothic Window effect. The frosted bottom has 2 rings of cut-to-clear ovals - a notched pattern that is repeated around the rim and again an inch below.

Maker, exact age & country of origin Unknown - believed to have been made in the US or UK mid 19th century - circa 1850.
