Antique CF Monroe Wave Crest Glass Floral Swirl Dresser Jar Box Signed - 1898. This is an antique Wave Crest glass dresser jar or box done in matte white glass with a delicate hand painted floral motif. The bottom is signed "CF Monroe, Wave Crest".
The inside edge of the metal frame is engraved "Edith, 1898" and when I found this at an estate sale there was a note inside indicating it was an engagement gift. It measures 5 1/2" across and 3 3/4" high. The fabric lining is gone from the bottom and very frayed on the top. The glass is in good condition with no chips or cracks -- the metal has turned in spots from age/storage and I didn't know how to go about cleaning it for fear of damaging the finish further.
