Antique Bohemian MOSER Hand Painted Enamel WINTER SNOW RABBIT Art Glass Vase
Moser, hand painted Winter Wonderland scene depicts a fresh snowfall with a curious, but adorable brown rabbit standing in the snow, surrounded by snowy Pine and Weeping Willow trees. This unique cylinder art glass form with slanted shaped rim has a brass, copper coloured metal frame with handle and at the bottom of the vase, there is brass frame with four balls to serve as the footed base. The ground color of the glass is a greenish-brown topaz. Handle has a ornate shape and is not meant to be in a stand up in position.
The handle lays flat as previewed in the photos. This can be used as a vase or as a long match stick holder. No Moser signature is present. The hand painted woodland winter snow design with rabbit, is identified in the Moser Artistic Glass books, Edition Two by Gary Baldwin, on page. 86, plate 17, is an example of a amethyst coloured trinket box with the same winter snow and rabbit scene. Stands with the handle upright, 8-1/2 tall. The vase measure with the handle down is 6-3/4 tall. The rim is 3-7/8" x 3-1/8" diameter.
