Presenting a spectacular antique Art Nouveau iridescent glass rose bowl dating to the late 1800s. This exceptional piece has been hand blown in a radiant cobalt blue coloured glass and decorated with a rich and lustrous iridescent finish which has been masterfully combed into a pulled feather pattern. The radiant drapes of iridescent colour glisten with electric shades of blue, green, pink, purple and gold, the oil slick colours appearing to change as light dances over the elegantly curved form. The combination of rich cobalt blue and glistening rainbow iridescence is exceptionally attractive. The quality of this exquisite antique piece is evident at first sight. The stylish form and exquisite iridescent colour perfectly encapsulates all of the elegance and grace of the Art Nouveau period. EXQUISITE EXAMPLE OF QUALITY ART NOUVEAU IRIDESCENT GLASS. This exceptional example is finished with a quality brass mount to the top rim. Three small rectangular holes to the top of the mount are believed to have originally affixed a metal grill to assist with flower arranging.
