Antique 19c Victorian Cranberry Art Glass Hobnail Hanging Light Fixture. This is an amazing antique hanging light fixture dating to the Victorian era of the 19th century. The pendant style hanging lamp features a gorgeous cranberry art glass shade decorated with an attractive hobnail pattern. The lamp hangs from a chain pulley system so that the base may easily be pulled down to light, blow out, or add oil. In the case of this lamp, there is no font or candle holder present.

Condition: In overall very good condition mild wear and loss to the metal finish. There are some flakes to the mouth of the glass shade as pictured. The lamp pulls up and down on the chain pulleys fairly smoothly. One of the hooks on one of the chains will need to be replaced.

It is currently affixed with picture hanging wire. The lower finial is slightly bent. The lower mounting fits slightly loosely to the globe. It is however, secure enough to safely hang and use. This condition is consistent with age and use. Dimensions: The total hanging length of the lamp is 31 1/4. The shade is 9" tall with a max diameter of 10".

The flared rim at the top is 4 5/8" diameter and the lower opening is 5 5/8" diameter. The ceiling mount is 6 3/8 diameter.
