19th C. Satin Glass Ewer, Enameled & Gilt Bird Decoration, c. 1880-1900
Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a lovely Victorian Period opaque opal glass ewer with elaborately decorated enamel design that includes a colorfully painted bird and branches of flowers, c.
The painted decoration has fine details, great coloration and the entire design is embellished with gold accents. The ewer has a soft turquoise blue coloration with a glossy finish inside the spout although the exterior of the ewer has a smooth satin finish. There is a glass collar around the neck which is painted with a dark green background with gilded accents that matches the applied glass handle.
The painted effect is a bronze appearance. This nice ewer is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws other than minor wear to the painted collar and handle from normal wear. Measures 7 1/2" tall with an overall width of 4 1/4".
