1880s ART GLASS HAND BLOWN 15SMOKING PIPE WITH APPLIED CLEAR RIGAREE DECORATION

  

Here's a wonderful antique art glass smoking pipe which is 15long..... Hand blown amber glass hollow pipe with long hollow curved stem..... Drippy applied hand crimped clear glass rigaree decorations around the bowl and stem..... Bowl is 7tall from the base... Shiny nice but has a 1 1/2chipped area on the clear glass rigaree on bowl; no other damage. A nice clean pipe with no haze. You can blow air through it, so it could have doubled as a sort of trumpet toy. I've dug similar free blown glass pipes from 1880 era trash pits. Sometimes glassblowers would make whimsey pipes in their spare time to give away as gifts.... This one still has a copper wire around the elbow joint which helped it to be hung from the wall or ceiling perhaps? THIS IS A FIXED PRICE ITEM FOR SALE IN MY STORE. Unless you contact me first.
