Victorian Mt Washington Edward Miller & Co. Opal Satin Glass Floral Oil Lamp Delicately stained light yellow to light blue opal glass with a floral blue, white & green floral transfer typical in style to Circa 1900 Mt Washington opal satin glass. The bottom is marked with E M & Co No. The E M & Co. Which stands for Edward Miller & Company, was started in the 1840's in Meriden Connecticut and is still in operation. The fitter is new and not original to lamp. There are no chips or cracks to glass. The cap for putting oil in is in good working order. There is some brown spotting to finish at very top, not sure of the cause, could be part of the original production process. The measurements for lamp font are: 5" tall x 7" wide. With frosted shade on the lamp stands 14 tall. A lovely addition to a Mt Washington opal glass collection.
