Victorian Large Moulded Pink Glass Oil Lamp Font, Art Nouveau Thistle Design
SUPERB VERY LARGE VICTORIAN PINK MOULDED GLASS OIL LAMP FONT This very decorative oil lamp font stands approximately 16cm tall from the base of the undermount to the top of the brass ring. The diameter is approximately 16.5cm at its widest point. It is in good condition and finished with a brass fitter with an internal screw fixing, the internal diameter is 3.9cm. The brass undermount measures 23mm.
In a beautiful shaded colourway from a deep pink to a pale pink. It is decorated with an Art Nouveau repeat pattern of stylized thistles around the circumference of the font. It also has moulded fluting to the base and the moulded decoration continues over the rim to the top of the font. This period design would set of any Victorian oil lamp to perfection. We currently have a beautiful Victorian cranberry shade which also has a thistle design and would complement the colour and decoration of this font perfectly.
