Rare Wave Crest C. F. Monroe Vanity Trinket Comb and Brush Holder
There are no chips, cracks or repairs to the glass. There is no silk lining inside of cylinder. The brass does show some tarnish and and wear from normal use and age. This piece is identified as a trinket, comb and brush holder, and has fancy brass ormulu feet and top crown piece which decorate this item. It is approximately 9 in long, 4 and 1/2-in high and 3 1/2 in wide on the inside cylinder.
The widest measurement is 4 1/2 in wide. This is a very unique piece and is identified as being rare in the wave crest - The book of C. Monroe, reference book by author Cohen and it is featured on page 83 in his reference book.
