Rare Antique Baccarat Victorian Plates 6 Green & Gold Vaseline Glass Signed

These two beautiful 6 sandwich plates are a beautiful addition to any collection or a wonderful gift for any person. There is a marking "Baccarat" right on the front of the plate easily seen. Vaseline glass, means they were made before 1939. In 1843 Baccarat introduced Vaseline Glass wherein uranium was added to the glass mix during the melting process. Baccarat called it "Cristal Diachrode", a line which did not last long, and pieces are quite rare. This piece contains uranium and would glow under black light. Marked with raised text: BACCARAT in the mold, this plate measures approx. 6 inches across and has a gold trimmed scalloped border.
