WOW what a wonderful original matched pair of Victorian Opaline Art Glass Mantle Lustres! Stunning hand blown Opal and Pink Opaline Art Glass, with hand faceted prisms, gold gilt decorated bases.

Generally in very good condition. The lustres themselves have no chips, repairs, etc. But as to be expected, a few of the prisms have chips.

As can be seen in the photos there's some minimal wear to the gold gilt decoration, please see the photos as part of the description. Overall for 150 year old matched set of Victorian Mantle Lustres I'd say these are in very good condition! They're stunning in person, and when the sun hits the prisms, wow! As for a maker, I'd say these are definitely either Harrach from Bohemia as several almost identical sets are shown in the Passau Museum books in the Harrach section for this era, or Baccarat France as they also made high quality Opal and Pink Opaline glass and lustres were a popular decorating item in France as well as England and the United States. These are not going to be fun to pack, but rest assured, I do better packing then the pros at the likes of the UPS Store, so barring being run over by a UPS truck, they'll arrive in good condition.
