This is a truly Amazing piece of art. This piece is un-sigened and original. It appears to be either chalk or pastel and the colors just erupt from the exceptional quality. Not to mention that she seems to follow you with her eyes around the room. I wanted to carefully remove the canvas from the frame, in hopes of finding a signature.

I did not find one. What I found was even more amazing to me. Once completed, he/she flipped it over and wrote out the expenses for the colors, which appeared to be in addition to the work. Lastly the piece was then cut in an oval shape, out of the original canvas to fit the frame.

You can still see the cut marks. I discovered that the wording of the color Hasel, instead of using Hazel was an old German spelling of it. My assumption was that this piece was made in the early to mid 19. Century and the un-known artist was German. Im just simply intrigued with the receipt aspect of this piece.
