Antique Victorian Cherub Silver Plate Holder Painted Violets Art Glass Vase
This is a wonderful old Victorian era hand painted glass vase in a triple plate silver ornate figural holder from estate. The holder features cherubs and has a band of embossed flowers on top and a band of embossed long beak birds in flight amongst foliage on the base. It is marked Taunton Triple Plate on base. It is 10 3/4" tall in total and vase is 6" by 2 1/4" and stand is 6 3/4" by 5" across with a 3 3/4" across base. The glass vase has hand painted violets on a soft blue background. One of the cherubs wings is in a position on the shoulder and I first thought it was bent but under a loupe I see no damage. On one side of the silver base on top rim is a hard to spot tiny slightly over 1/8 split line in the silver too small to note. This is in very good condition and stunning in person.
